About BLUEPRINT SOLUTIONS ltd ~ History
With an apparent demand for a "blueprinting" company in the Fond du Lac area, BLUEPRINT SOLUTIONS ltd (originally known as R and D blueprints ltd.) opened its doors for business on March 1, 1996. With one full-time employee and a part-timer, we began providing wide-format copying services with a single Dietzgen traditional ammonia-based,"beast of a", blueline machine and a single Dietzgen sheet fed engineering copier. We also offered high-speed black and white small-format copying services.
By 1998, the business was steadily growing and we moved from our "one-room" office to a 1200 square foot office suite, one of the owners left the company, we acquired our first connected, wide-format digital COPY*PRINT*SCAN system, and now staffed two full-time and two part-time employees. That was also when we decided that we needed to change the name and logo of the business to be more descriptive of the wider variety of services that we could now provide... BLUEPRINT SOLUTIONS ltd.
Through 1999 and 2000, to expand our customer base, we opened a small "satellite" shop in downtown Waupun, about 20 miles southwest of Fond du Lac. At that time, we acquired our second wide-format digital COPY*PRINT*SCAN system and an additional high-speed black and white small-format copier. (Paula and Scott also got married during this time 
).
By the end of 2000, we were extremely eager to stop paying rent so we made a difficult decision to purchase our own property in the historic downtown district of Fond du Lac, where we are still located today. Unfortunately we needed to close our shop in Waupun to pool our resources together to make it financially feasible. However, after months of "sweat equity" and a grueling move (thanks to a lot of help from family, friends, and contractors ) we finally settled into our newly renovated office building at Main and Merrill in July of 2001. At that time, we ‘tweaked' our logo, staffed three full-time employees (Scott, Paula, and Todd), dumped "the beast", and transformed into a fully connected, digital reprographics shop.
Over the next several years we continued to steadily grow and develop the business with just a lot of good ol' fashioned hard work (and started paying back some of the debt that we had created ). Then, in early 2007 we finally had an opportunity to acquire the latest technology in a wide-format, multi-function COPY*PRINT*SCAN Full-COLOR system. 
It was the perfect compliment to our current wide-format black and white capabilities. We also completely redesigned our logo (hopefully for the final time ) to better reflect the character of the historic downtown property and our traditions.
By the end of 2007, it looked like 2008 was going to be a fantastic year, and we had decided to begin searching for companies to develop an OnLine PlanRoom and new WebSite for the business, something that we had wanted to do for a few years. We were able to ‘hook-up' with two awesome companies (thank you all for your incredible dedication and patience ) and the PlanRoom went Live late fall of ‘08 followed by the launching of the new WebSite in early ‘09.
Unfortunately as the economy was sputtering, unemployment on the rise, political and corporate corruption rampant, government budgets failing and taxes soaring, the 2008 year had become very challenging for everyone. But, enough ‘doom and gloom' from me already! It's time to gear up for a Joyous and Prosperous 2010! And we will continue"providing service the ol' fashioned way with current technologies".
